Ilke Cop (BE, 1988) lives and works in Brussels, Belgium. In 2010, she graduated with a Master’s degree in Art History, and the core of her ideas and vision began to take root. Until 2021, she ran an acclaimed and sustainable fashion brand (ILKECOP).

In late 2018, she began to explore her art practice. She is a member of the new women’s writing collective Hyster-x.

Other recent solo exhibitions include: Prolific at Tatjana Pieters, Ghent (BE), Folded Whites Barak Lili M at Pilar, Brussels ( BE), State of Things at KL8, Brussels (BE). Recent group exhibitions include Borst a show and lecture together with Joëlle Dubois curated by Hyster-x at De Studio, Antwerp (BE), Kunstenfestival Watou, Poperinge (BE), Search Party curated by Ben Edmunds, Tatjana Pieters, Ghent (BE), PASS 2021 curated by Jan Hoet Jr & Kris Martin at the Church of Wanneberg (BE). Her work is part of private collections across Europe.

In June ‘24 she will have her second solo exhibition at Tatjana Pieters Gallery.This summer, Cop made a remarkable appearance with a sculptural installation made for Sint-Denijs City, a Belgian Biennial for contemporary art. In 2024, her work is selected for the Biennial of Painting at Mudel museum, Deinze (BE) and the Crystal Ship festival in Oostende (BE).

In January 2024, she was awarded the Gaver prize, one of the most important art prizes in Belgium. Her work is part of private collections across Europe & the USA.
