This series builds on themes of representation and feminism, but most importantly goes in depth on the colonial history of Belgium. On these canvasses historical monuments can be seen referencing this difficult past. Products like plants, fabrics, oysters, chocolate... are put in the foreground. Contrasting with the Flemish rural countryside.
